'Naruto' voice actor Toshihiko Seki hospitalized for COVID-19


Japanese voice actor Toshihiko Seki has been hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19, his agency 81 Produce announcet

日本の声優、関俊彦氏がCOVID-19の検査で陽性で入院した、と彼のエージェンシー81プロデュースは発表した。

81 Produce said in a statement that the 58 year old is in a stable condition and has been admitted to hospital. Seki came down with a fever on July 31 and was administered a PCR test on August 1 after going to the hospital. It was confirmed on August 3 that Seki had come down with COVID-19 and was admitted to hospital on August 4. 81 Produce is currently investigating how Seki got the virus and is working closely with the Ministry of Health to inform those who may have had a high level of contact with Seki in the last few weeks and administer tests to staff and cast.  


 Seki has played roles in hundreds of anime works, including Saiyuki (Genjo Sanzo), Naruto (Iruka Umino), Kill la Kill (Senketsu), RahXephon (Makoto Isshiki), Trigun (Legato), Ranma ½ (Mousse), Mobile Suit Gundam Wing (Duo Maxwell), and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed (Rau Le Creuset).

His more recent roles include Muzan Kibutsuji in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Aleister Crowley in A Certain Magical Index III, and Schmerman in Plunderer.
